Health & Safety Manager - Store Development & Construction
\nSalary: £60,000-£70,000 + Benefits
\nWe're partnering with a globally recognised retail and hospitality brand to recruit an experienced Health & Safety Manager to support the safe delivery of its ambitious store development programme across the UK.
\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for a Health & Safety professional who has extensive experience within store development, retail fit-out, construction or refurbishment projects. You will play a key role in ensuring all new store openings, refurbishments and construction activities are delivered safely, compliantly and in line with best practice.
\nThis role has a national remit, supporting projects across the UK, so regular travel to sites will be required.
\nPlease note: Experience in Health & Safety within store development, retail construction, fit-out or similar environments is essential. Applications without this background are unlikely to be considered.
\nThe Role
\nReporting into the senior leadership team, you'll be responsible for driving Health & Safety across the property, construction and store development function, working closely with internal stakeholders, contractors and external partners.
\nKey responsibilities include:

Leading Health & Safety across new store openings, refurbishments and construction projects.
\n - \n
Ensuring compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation and CDM regulations.
\n - \n
Providing expert guidance to project managers, property teams and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
\n - \n
Carrying out site inspections, audits and risk assessments to maintain the highest safety standards.
\n - \n
Reviewing construction methods, RAMS and contractor performance.
\n - \n
Investigating incidents, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures.
\n - \n
Developing and maintaining Health & Safety policies, procedures and training.
\n - \n
Building strong relationships with internal teams and external contractors to create a positive safety culture.
\n - \n
Travelling nationally to support project teams, conduct site visits and ensure consistent Health & Safety standards are maintained across all locations.

About You
\nWe're looking for an experienced Health & Safety professional who can demonstrate:

Proven experience managing Health & Safety within store development, retail construction, fit-out or refurbishment projects.
\n - \n
Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and CDM Regulations.
\n - \n
Experience working with multiple contractors across fast-paced project environments.
\n - \n
NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent qualification).
\n - \n
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
\n - \n
The ability to influence at all levels and drive a proactive safety culture.
\n - \n
A full UK driving licence and the flexibility to travel nationally as part of the role.
