We are currently recruiting for a Trade Counter Sales Assistant to join a well-established business in Lisburn.

This is a varied role that combines customer service, sales, and paint mixing responsibilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for serving customers at the trade counter, promoting products, and accurately mixing paints to customer specifications. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with customers and has a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Serving trade and retail customers at the sales counter.

• Building strong customer relationships and delivering excellent service.
\n
• Promoting and upselling products to maximise sales opportunities.
\n
• Mixing and tinting paints to customer requirements.
\n
• Processing sales orders, quotations, and payments accurately.
\n
• Assisting with stock control and replenishment.
\n
• Handling customer enquiries and providing product advice.
\n
• Using numeracy skills to calculate quantities, measurements, pricing, and stock requirements.
\n
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
\n

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience in a customer-facing, retail, trade counter, or sales environment.
\n
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
\n
• Confidence in approaching customers and identifying sales opportunities.
\n
• Good numeracy skills and attention to detail.
\n
• Ability to work accurately with measurements and figures.
\n
• Strong organisational skills.
\n
• A positive, enthusiastic, and proactive attitude.
\n

Experience within the paint, decorating, or building supplies industry would be advantageous but is not essential.
