A Project Accountant role based in the reiagte and banstead borough within the industrial/manufacturing sector, focusing on financial oversight for key projects. You'll ensure accurate reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to keep projects on track and support business goals.

\nProvide comprehensive financial management and reporting across a portfolio of projects, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely analysis of financial data.
\nMonitor project performance, including revenue, costs, profitability, order bookings and backlog, providing meaningful financial insights to support decision-making.
\nProduce accurate monthly financial reports and analysis, highlighting key trends, risks, opportunities and variances against budget and forecast.
\nCoordinate budgeting and forecasting processes, supporting project and business unit financial planning activities.
\nReview project cost estimates and analyse financial performance to explain variances and improve forecast accuracy.
\nSupport revenue recognition processes and project reviews, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
\nMaintain robust financial controls to ensure accurate billing, revenue collection, cost allocation, and financial reporting.
\nEnsure project-related costs are appropriately authorised, recorded, allocated, and reported within financial systems.
\nPartner with Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle, providing financial guidance and commercial support.
\nCollaborate with senior finance stakeholders to deliver ad hoc reporting, financial analysis, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
\nProfile
\nQualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent) or qualified by experience
\nExperience in project accounting, management accounting, or project finance environments.
\nStrong financial analysis and reporting skills.
\nExperience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
\nStrong knowledge of financial controls and accounting principles.
\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills.
\nExcellent attention to detail and accuracy.
\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills.
\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
\nKnowledge of revenue recognition methodologies and project financial management.
