Bookkeeper

The firm offers a collaborative working environment as well as excellent opportunities to develop your career.The RoleYou'll be responsible for managing bookkeeping and VAT responsibilities for a varied portfolio of clients, building strong relationships and ensuring accurate and timely financial information.Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining bookkeeping records for a diverse portfolio of clients
\n
• Processing sales and purchase invoices, bank reconciliations and journals
\n
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
\n
• Assisting with management accounts where appropriate
\n
• Liaising directly with clients to resolve bookkeeping queries
\n
• Supporting clients with cloud accounting software and providing guidance where needed
\n
• Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring deadlines are met
\n
• Working closely with accountants and managers to provide an efficient service
\n

Ideally you'll have:

\n
• Previous experience working as a Bookkeeper within a UK accountancy practice
\n
• Good knowledge of bookkeeping principles and VAT
\n
• Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks and/or Sage
\n
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills
\n
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
\n
• The ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively
\n
• AAT qualification (or studying towards AAT) would be advantageous but is not essential
\n

• Salary circa £26,000 - £32,000 per annum
\n
