Component Marking Technician
\nSheffield Area
\nSalary: £13.90ph day rate / £20.85 night rate
\nShift Patters / Working Hours:
\nDays (38 hours): Monday - Thursday: 7:15am - 16:00pm & Fridays 7:15am - 12:15pm.
\nNights (40 hours): Monday - Wednesday: 18:00pm - 6:00am & Thursdays 16:00pm - 20:00pm
\n*day/nights are alternate each week*
\nAbout the Role
\nWe are currently recruiting for a Component Marking Technician to join a leading precision engineering and manufacturing business serving highly regulated industries.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing experience who enjoys detailed, hands-on work and takes pride in maintaining high quality standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for marking and identifying components using a variety of specialist marking methods, ensuring all products meet customer and traceability requirements.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Operate specialist marking equipment including:\n
- \n
- Dot Peen \n
- Vibro Etching \n
- Chemical Etching \n
- Ink Marking Systems \n
- Hand Etching \n
\n
- \n
- Ensure all markings meet customer specifications and quality standards. \n
- Verify that markings are clear, accurate and fully traceable. \n
- Work closely with production and planning teams to meet manufacturing schedules. \n
- Carry out pressure testing activities where required. \n
- Apply protective coatings as part of production processes. \n
- Identify and report product defects and support quality investigations. \n
- Handle precision-engineered components with care and attention. \n
- Complete routine equipment checks and assist with basic maintenance activities. \n
- Maintain high housekeeping and health & safety standards. \n
Candidate Requirements

- Experience working within a manufacturing, engineering or production environment. \n
- Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions and engineering drawings. \n
- Good understanding of quality standards and traceability requirements. \n
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills. \n
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office. \n
- Good understanding of health and safety practices. \n
- Ability to work independently and efficiently. \n
- Flexible approach with willingness to learn new skills. \n
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. \n
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills. \n
- Experience within aerospace, engineering or precision manufacturing. \n
- Knowledge of component traceability requirements. \n
- Understanding of tooling and fixtures. \n
- Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. \n
