Management Accountant

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000Location:WolverhamptonJob Type: Permanent | Full TimeWe're looking for a qualified Management Accountant to join a growing finance team. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for month-end reporting, balance sheet control and maintaining accurate financial records, while supporting continuous improvement across the finance function.

• Prepare monthly management accounts with P&L and balance sheet analysis.

• Produce and post journals, including accruals and prepayments.
\n
• Take ownership of fixed asset accounting, including CapEx, capitalisation, depreciation and disposals.
\n
• Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure accurate accounting for capital expenditure.
\n
• Manage payroll accounting and operational cost reporting.
\n
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.
\n
• Support month-end close, statutory accounts and external audit requirements.
\n
• Assist with financial controls, reporting improvements and finance systems development.
\n
• Partner with budget holders to provide financial analysis and support business decision-making.

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
\n
• Previous experience producing management accounts.
\n
• Strong understanding of fixed assets, CapEx accounting and balance sheet reconciliations.
\n
• Experience with journals, accruals and prepayments.
\n
• Good knowledge of UK GAAP.
\n
• Strong Excel skills and experience using ERP systems.
\n
• Proactive, analytical and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
