Job Overview We are recruiting for a therapeutic children's residential home in Edgware supporting young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences. We are looking for a deputy manager who is ready to develop into a registered manager role. The post combines hands-on leadership with operational responsibility, safeguarding, and high-quality therapeutic practice.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support the staff team on shift, modelling high standards of therapeutic and relational practiceDeputise for the Registered Manager, ensuring the home runs safely and effectively in their absenceOversee and contribute to care planning, risk assessments, daily records, and statutory documentationChampion safeguarding, manage complex behaviours and promote positive outcomes for young peopleSupport staff development through supervision, reflective practice, and on-the-job coachingWork collaboratively with the clinical team, social workers, education providers, and familiesActively progress toward Registered Manager status (Level 5 Diploma pathway)Essential Requirements (Non-Negotiable)Full UK driving licence (clean)this is mandatoryMinimum 23 years' experience in children's residential homesLevel 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
