The Snowflake Platform Administrator/Lead is responsible for managing, securing, and supporting the Snowflake data platform across multiple business domains. The role focuses on platform administration, access governance, integration enablement, and operational support to ensure reliable and compliant data ingestion and replication across enterprise systems.

\n

Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, the administrator ensures seamless data flow across Snowflake and integrated platforms such as Kafka, Confluent Cloud, ADLS, and other downstream systems.

\n

At a senior level, the role also contributes to platform optimization, performance tuning, cost efficiency, and governance enforcement, while supporting scalable and secure data platform operations in multi-cloud environments.

Your role

\n

Act as Snowflake Platform Admin within client ecosystem

\n

Own administration, governance, and operational stability of Snowflake platform

\n

Enable data onboarding via standardized Snowflake integration patterns

\n

Ensure compliance with RBAC, SSO, security, and audit controls

\n

Support onboarding teams for connector creation, configuration, and validation

\n

Close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure secure, scalable, Snowflake platform architecture

\n

Knowledge on Terraform (there are few terraform scripts used)

\n

Ability to understand and write stored procedures

\n

knowledge/understating of python/Java scripts

\n

knowledge on GITHub, Jira

\n

Responsibilities

\n

Manage Snowflake account-level, database-level, schema-level, and object-level roles using RBAC model (roles, role hierarchy, grants)

\n

Administer Azure AD/SSO group mappings (SCIM/OAuth integration) for automated user provisioning and access control

\n

Maintain environment/domain-based role and database structure (DEV/QA/PROD segregation, domain schemas)

\n

Govern access life cycle (grant/revoke roles & privileges) via ServiceNow/request workflows and ensure compliance documentation updates

\n

Support Snowflake object life cycle management (databases, schemas, tables, views, stages, tasks, streams)

\n

Support data platform onboarding and integration enablement (schema setup, access provisioning, initial environment configuration)

\n

Manage data access and sharing configurations (secure data sharing, external integrations, role-based access segregation)

\n

Enforce RBAC policies across account, database, schema, and object levels ensuring domain-based access segregation

\n

Work with Security teams for Firewall rules, VPN approvals, Access governance

\n

Data Validation & Quality Assurance

\n

Monitoring, Incident & Support

\n

Prepare and Maintain Snowflake SOLD (Solution Design Documents), Integration templates and Knowledge base articles for access and onboarding

\n

Required

\n

Strong experience with Snowflake platform administration

\n

Own day-to-day administration of Snowflake environments (databases, schemas, warehouses)

\n

Manage compute warehouses (scaling, performance, cost optimization)

\n

Ensure platform stability, availability, and operational efficiency

\n

Handle incident management, troubleshooting, and RCA

\n

Experience with Snowflake (schemas, RBAC, permissions), Azure (ADLS, PrivateLink, networking)

\n

Understanding of Data mesh/domain-driven architecture

\n

Experience with VPN, Proxy, SSH tunnels, Static IP configurations

\n

Co-ordination with Infra and Networking teams

\n

Monitoring & troubleshooting data pipelines

\n

Incident and Change Management

\n

Preferred (Good to Have)

\n

Experience working with Snowflake and Confluent Kafka is a strong advantage.

\n

Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

\n

Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance standards.

\n

Experience in Agile environments and CI/CD practices.

\n

Familiarity with SNOW workflows.

\n

Exposure to Data.world and Manta.

\n
