Health and Safety Manager – Manufacturing – Kingston-upon-Thames – £55,000 to £65,000 + Benefits Package
\nPrincipal People are delighted to be working exclusively with an established manufacturing business to recruit a Health and Safety Manager.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced health and safety professional to join a growing, design-led organisation and take ownership of the health and safety function across a busy, hands-on operation.
\nThe successful candidate will lead the day-to-day health and safety function across the business, taking responsibility for the continual improvement of policies, procedures and management systems across manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, and office environments.
\nThis is a highly visible role with the opportunity to influence managers, support operational teams, and build a proactive safety culture where safety is viewed as an integral part of how the business delivers its work.
\nThe key duties include:

- Leading the day-to-day health and safety function across manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, and office environments. \n
- Developing, implementing and continually improving health and safety policies, procedures and management systems. \n
- Overseeing safety across production and workshop activities. \n
- Managing safety across the sites, including contractor management and RAMS. \n
- Leading incident investigations and root cause analysis and maintaining risk registers and corrective actions. \n
- Delivering a structured programme of workplace inspections, internal audits and health and safety training. \n
- Supporting managers to take ownership of safety within their teams and driving continuous improvement across the business. \n

We would love to see CVs from people who have:

- NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum (NEBOSH Diploma advantageous). \n
- Experience in a health and safety role within manufacturing, production or a similarly hands-on operational environment. \n
- Strong working knowledge of UK health and safety legislation. \n
- ~5 years’ experience in Health and Safety (Management experience preferred) \n
- Excellent communication, coaching and problem-solving skills. \n
