A leading insurance firm are looking for an 8+PQE* insurance generalist lawyer to lead their legal team.

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n


\n

You will be responsible for the following:

\n
    \n
  • Lead lawyer for the London business with oversight of compliance and cosec advising the senior management team on a range of legal matters
  • \n
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including partnership agreements, supplier agreements, vendor contracts, and customer terms and conditions.
  • \n
  • Assisting with insurance law, privacy, employment and other matters as they arise
  • \n
  • Leading on various legal tech/AI initiatives across the firm
  • \n
  • Provide assistance with maintaining the legal precedent bank; and assist with providing training to the business on new and ongoing legal and compliance issues
  • \n
  • Provide support to the business on the onboarding of new clients
  • \n
  • Working in multidisciplinary teams across various departments, including product development, marketing, and human resources, ensuring that all business activities comply with applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

\n
    \n
  • The ideal candidate will be an 8+ PQE* Commercial lawyer, preferably with experience in a law firm, or insurance firm.
  • \n
  • Experience working inhouse in the insurance sector is a prerequisite
  • \n
  • Excellent contract negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • \n
  • Proactive, detail oriented, and able to thrive in a fast paced, innovative environment. Strong problem solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.
