Civilian Investigator
Job Description
The Metropolitan Police Service is seeking experienced Civilian Investigators to support a highly significant and large-scale criminal investigation at a pivotal stage of case development.
\nThis is an opportunity to contribute to one of the most complex and high-profile investigations in the UK, working alongside dedicated professionals to build robust cases for submission to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).
\nThis is an initial 12-month contract with an hourly rate of £22.42 per hour + holiday and benefits (or £29.11 via an Umbrella company inside IR35). The roles will be based out of Hendon with hybrid working available.
\nThe Role
\nYou will play a key role in progressing complex lines of enquiry, managing investigative material, and producing high-quality evidential reports.

Disclosure Teams

- Review and manage large volumes of sensitive material \n
- Ensure compliance with disclosure obligations \n
- Support the preparation of prosecution-ready case files \n
Working Arrangements
\nInvestigation Teams

- Full-time (minimum 4 days per week) \n
- 4 days office-based, 1 day remote \n
Disclosure Teams
\n- \n
- Full-time (5 days) \n
- 3 days office-based, 2 days remote \n
- Part-time: under 5 days = 1 day remote \n
Monday to Friday, standard office hours

\nEssential Criteria
\n- \n
- PIP2 accredited \n
- Recent experience in serious and/or complex crime investigations \n
- Proven experience managing complex investigations within the last 5 years \n
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to process detailed information \n
- Excellent report writing and evidential documentation skills \n
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities \n
Desirable Skills

- Experience working within multi-agency investigative environment \n
- Knowledge of HOLMES systems \n
- Background in project management or delivery \n
