We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded property business seeking an organised and proactive Assistant Property Manager to join their growing team.

\n


\n

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with residential property experience looking to develop their career within residential estate management. You'll support the day-to-day management of a residential portfolio, gaining valuable experience in leasehold administration, service charges, compliance and customer service, all within a supportive and professional environment.

The Role

\n

Working alongside experienced Property Managers, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day management of a residential portfolio. This is a varied role with a strong administrative focus, where you'll become a key point of contact for leaseholders, tenants, residents and professional contacts.

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n
    \n
  • Acting as the first point of contact for leaseholders, tenants and residents.
  • \n
  • Responding to enquiries by telephone, email and post in a professional and timely manner.
  • \n
  • Preparing and issuing annual and interim service charge demands.
  • \n
  • Processing and allocating service charge payments.
  • \n
  • Producing statements of account.
  • \n
  • Monitoring service charge arrears.
  • \n
  • Issuing reminder letters, final demands and pre-legal notices.
  • \n
  • Liaising with leaseholders regarding outstanding balances and payment plans.
  • \n
  • Preparing LPE1 management packs for property sales.
  • \n
  • Liaising with solicitors, managing agents, freeholders and leaseholders throughout the conveyancing process.
  • \n
  • Raising invoices and monitoring payment of administration fees.
  • \n
  • Updating leaseholder ownership records following property sales.
  • \n
  • Maintaining accurate leaseholder records and property documentation.
  • \n
  • Filing insurance documents, compliance certificates and lease documentation.
  • \n
  • Supporting general office administration, document production and telephone enquiries.
  • \n

About You

\n

We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service.

\n

You'll ideally have:

\n
    \n
  • Previous experience within residential property, estate management, lettings or property administration.
  • \n
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail.
  • \n
  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • \n
  • A proactive approach with the ability to manage a varied workload.
  • \n
  • Good IT skills and ideally experience using property management software.
  • \n
  • Experience with service charges, leasehold administration or LPE1 management packs would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • \n

An understanding of the following would also be beneficial, although training and support will be provided:

  • Residential leases.
  • \n
  • Service charge legislation.
  • \n
  • Landlord and Tenant legislation.
  • \n
  • Section 20 consultation procedures.
  • \n
  • Health & Safety requirements.
  • \n
  • Building insurance principles.
  • \n
