Position: Operations Accountant (12-15 month FTC)

Location: Renfrewshire

Salary: Competitive

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

\n
• Analyse operational costs against budget, forecast and prior periods, providing clear variance analysis and commentary
\n
• Own monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies or anomalies
\n
• Support month-end reporting, including risks and opportunities analysis
\n
• Partner with operational stakeholders to provide KPI reporting and financial insight
\n
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and long-range financial planning processes
\n
• Support business cases, investment appraisals and commercial decision-making
\n
• Liaise with suppliers and contract owners regarding pricing, invoices and financial queries
\n
• Ensure compliance with financial controls, policies and governance requirements
\n
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting and financial control
\n
• Support and mentor a Finance Analyst and contribute to a collaborative team environment
\n

Candidate Profile:

\n
• Qualified or Qualified by Experience Accountant
\n
• Strong financial analysis and business partnering experience
\n
• Confident communicating financial information to non-finance stakeholders
\n
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial models
\n
• Available within 4 weeks’ notice
\n
