Customs Clerk

A major UK & International Freight forwarding company are looking to add a Bonded Warehouse - Customs clerk to their expanding team. The ideal customs candidate should possess some kind of customs experience, ideally in a bonded warehouse division. They will be required to complete customs entries managing inbound/removals for Customs Warehouses. ROLE: Warehouse - Customs LOCATION: Southampton BASIC SALARY: £28k to £32k HOURS: Monday-Friday with 3 available shift patterns (Apply online only) / (Apply online only) / (Apply online only)) BENEFITS: Onsite parking, Pension, Life Assurance, Paid overtime, Profit related bonus, Incremental holiday. ROLE: Customs Arrange cargo pre-shipment with office or origin partner office Ensure all relevant notes & eDocs are shown in the job in Cargowise Ensure that company credit control procedures are adhered to Ensure all jobs are loaded correctly Ensure Bills of Lading are endorsed correctly and update receipt in Cargowise Utilise shipment filters and check reports to ensure you are being as pro-active as possible Ensure daily ETA checks are completed Raise non conformances for all non conforming issues Ensure clients are chased for customs documentation Ensure invoice is raised to the client at the correct time Update action lists for all SCM customers daily if applicable Identify procedural inadequacies & offer suggestions for improvements EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Ideally some kind of warehousing/customs experience. Required to complete customs entry using a system called Ricardo, managing inbound/removals for Customs Warehouses. Good working knowledge of Home Use / CFSP / Warehousing / Bonds / T1's / NCTS
