CNC Machine Operator

Witheridge, near Tiverton, Devon | From £15.00 per hour (depending on experience) | Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week | 07:00-16:00 or 08:00-17:00 | Permanent, Full-Time

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-run engineering company based near Tiverton for a CNC Machine Operator.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Operator, CNC Turner, CNC Miller, or CNC Machinist looking to join a growing engineering business. Candidates with a strong mechanical aptitude and manufacturing experience who are keen to learn are also encouraged to apply, as full training will be provided.

This role offers long-term career progression, including the opportunity to train as a CNC Setter.

• Operate CNC turning and milling machines to manufacture precision-engineered components.
\n
• Load and unload materials and finished products.
\n
• Produce high-quality components in line with engineering drawings and specifications.
\n
• Carry out dimensional and visual quality inspections using measuring equipment.
\n
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
\n
• Identify machine faults or quality issues and report them promptly.
\n
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment.
\n
• Follow all company quality procedures and Health & Safety standards.
\n

• Previous CNC machining or manufacturing experience is preferred but not essential.
\n
• Willingness to learn and develop within precision engineering.
\n
• Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
\n
• Ability to read engineering drawings is desirable.
\n
• Reliable and proactive approach to work.
\n
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
\n
• Own transport due to the company's location.
\n
