With exceptional outdoor provisions and a dedicated team, this is a unique opportunity to be part of an inspiring new setting focused on delivering high-quality, personalised education for children and young people with SEN.Benefits Bike to Work SchemeTech SchemePaid Sick PayReward SchemesSupport to Drive SchemeDevelopment PathwaysComprehensive Training PackageThe Role Deliver engaging English teaching and learning to a small group of students with Autism, associated challenging behaviour and other learning difficulties, whilst demonstrating proven experience of delivering the national curriculum.Plan and deliver creative and differentiated English lessons that meet the individual needs and abilities of pupils.Implement strategies for raising achievement and support students in developing confidence and competence in reading, writing, speaking and listening.Have knowledge of working with accreditation boards such as ASDAN and be committed to further professional development.Help young people with their learning and personal development.Support pupils to make progress against their EHCP targets.Safeguard and protect our pupils.Raise attendance, attainment and achievement.Work alongside pupils to support both their academic learning and essential life skills.Skills and Qualifications Due to this being a new provision, it is essential that candidates applying hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) .Ability to communicate effectively with a range of people both verbally and in writing.Ability to think creatively and adapt learning to meet the needs of each pupil.Well organised and self-motivated.Confident user of IT as a teaching and working tool.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and external agencies.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.Ability to Demonstrate Appropriate Knowledge of: Current Disability/SEN theory and practice, particularly linked to Autism.Safeguarding and child protection frameworks.Relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.Inclusive approaches to raising attendance, attainment and achievement.Effective strategies for teaching English to learners with a range of additional needs and learning profiles.Developing literacy skills across reading, writing, speaking and listening.Supporting learners to access English qualifications and accreditation pathways appropriate to their needs and abilities, with a range of additional needs and learning profiles.TPBN1_UKTJ
