Then look no further…Materials Trading Commercial ManagerSalary – £45,718 - £57,148 per annum, plus Company Car or Car AllowanceHours – 37.5 hoursLocation – Home-based (Travel Required)As a Materials Trading Commercial Manager at FCC Environment, you will work within the Materials Trading team and be responsible for managing materials offtake and trading across the FCC business within the UK.You will play a key role in developing and negotiating new and existing offtaker contracts, helping to maximise value for FCC when selling and/or disposing of recyclable materials. You will also support bidding opportunities, provide commercial insight, manage key contract documentation and lead the Materials Trading team.This vacancy is for a full-time position and will require travel throughout the UK.Our promise to you- Competitive salary- 25 days’ annual leave, plus Bank Holidays- Pension scheme- Life insurance- Discretionary bonus scheme- On-the-job training and progression- Recognition scheme Refer a friend- Flexible benefits, including high street savings, cycle to work scheme and Gymflex membership, and many more- Access to an Employee Assistance Programme and the Best Doctors Service via our Wellbeing PlatformWhat will you be doing?- Managing materials offtake and trading activity across the FCC business- Developing, negotiating and managing new and existing offtaker contracts- Supporting bidding opportunities by providing up-to-date pricing, market knowledge and offtaker information- Working closely with operational teams to support budgetary targets and improve material value- Preparing and presenting contract documentation, approval papers and project proposals- Drafting service level agreements for new offtaker contracts, working with the legal team where required- Providing market reports to PFI contracts and clients where there is a contractual requirement- Preparing annual budget proposals and monthly performance reports for the commodity trading business- Supporting Operations and SHEQ with offtaker compliance- Managing the Materials Trading team, including Recycling Commodity Traders and the Materials Administrator- Representing FCC at industry groups, meetings and networking opportunities- Using strong attention to detail when reviewing contracts, reports, pricing information and commercial documentationWhat are we looking for?- Previous experience in a senior commercial, trading or management role- Strong knowledge and experience within the waste industry- Experience of managing contracts, preferably within materials trading, recycling, waste or a similar environment- Proven commercial and financial understanding, with strong business acumen- Experience of supporting bids, tenders or business development opportunities- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage, develop and motivate a team- Excellent attention to detail, particularly when working with contracts, reports and commercial information- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills- The ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, customers, suppliers and external stakeholders- A good understanding of the waste market, including competitors, market opportunities and customer requirements- The ability to manage changing priorities and respond positively to business needs- Strong communication skills and the confidence to represent the business professionallyAbout usWe are FCC Environment, one of the UK’s leading waste and resource management companies.
