Job Description
I am currently working with a wonderful primary school based in the heart of Preston.
\n\nThe school are looking to appoint 2 qualified and experienced teaching assistants to join them in September for the full Academic year. Both roles are full time working in EYFS.
\n\nSEN Teaching Assistant (2 Positions)
\nHours: 8:45am – 3:15pm daily (30-minute lunch break)
\nWe are seeking two experienced and resilient SEN Teaching Assistants to support a group of Reception-aged children with a range of additional needs.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Provide tailored support to Reception pupils with:\n
- \n
- Speech and Language (S&L) needs \n
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) \n
- Challenging behaviour \n
\n - Support learning, development, and social interaction in the classroom and wider school environment. \n
- Implement strategies to manage behaviour positively and effectively. \n
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and SEN professionals. \n
- Provide personal care support, including intimate care and nappy changing where required. \n
Essential Requirements
\n- \n
- Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly ASD and Speech & Language needs. \n
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. \n
- Confident, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. \n
- Comfortable undertaking intimate care duties as part of the role. \n
- A nurturing, patient, and resilient approach. \n
