\n\nAbout the Role
\nWe're seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join a highly skilled engineering team responsible for supporting and enhancing a business-critical, high-availability platform that operates as part of the UK's essential financial infrastructure.
\nThis is an exciting opportunity to work within a complex enterprise environment where reliability, security, automation, and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything. You'll play a key role in the delivery, operation, and evolution of mission-critical services while helping to shape engineering best practices across the wider technology function.
\nKey Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Support, maintain and enhance critical production services and platforms. \n
- Lead and contribute to infrastructure, tooling and automation improvements. \n
- Maintain and develop CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes. \n
- Manage environments and oversee safe promotion of code through non-production and production estates. \n
- Work closely with architects, developers, platform engineers and operational teams to deliver robust solutions. \n
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring and coaching to engineers across the team. \n
- Contribute to technology roadmaps, service improvements and strategic planning. \n
- Drive adoption of DevOps and Agile best practices. \n
- Support incident management activities, including major incident response and post-incident reviews. \n
- Participate in an out-of-hours support and release rota for a 24/7 production environment. \n
- Ensure operational standards, governance requirements and service level commitments are consistently met \n
Required Experience
\nWe're interested in candidates who can demonstrate strong experience across:
\n- \n
- Production support within mission-critical or highly available environments. \n
- Kubernetes and/or OpenShift platforms, particularly in on-premise environments. \n
- Linux systems administration. \n
- Infrastructure as Code using Terraform. \n
- CI/CD tooling, ideally Jenkins. \n
- Automation of build, deployment and release processes. \n
- Monitoring, observability and platform reliability engineering. \n
- Logging, metrics and alerting solutions including technologies such as: \n
- ELK Stack \n
- Splunk \n
- Prometheus \n
- Grafana \n
- Leading or coordinating major incident response activities. \n
- Working within Agile delivery environments and modern DevOps practices. \n

- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline. \n
