As a Senior Software Engineering Manager working for this Networking Technology company you will work on Products developing a Network that grows smarter, enhancing connectivity. Their teams enjoy an environment focused on personalised and flexible work that empowers an individuals passions, growth, wellbeing and belonging.What you'll do:The Senior Software Engineering Manager Roles & Responsibilities include:Provide technical leadership and managerial guidance to a team of 10 software engineersRecruit and mentor staff to grow the teams capability and their individual talentReview product requirements and feature requests, providing development effort estimates and risk assessments to senior managementInfluence architectural decisions, design/code reviews, test plans and technology strategyManage multiple concurrent projects to deliver committed features on timeFoster an environment of continuous improvement in software engineering practices and product quality in terms of performance, scalability, availability and flexibilityWork closely with other software development teams as well as product line management, quality assurance (QA), and technical support.What you'll need: Bachelors degree in electronics and communications engineering, computer engineering or computer science and 10 years of experience in a software development role, in the Networking domain or similar adjacent technology. Five years+ of experience in a technical leadership role and/or people management role.The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge: Familiar with Linux development environment. They use C, Linux, PythonKnowledge of network routers/switches or routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, etc)Experience in open-source software developmentKnowledge with cloud native application developmentKnowledge with distributed systems and Python based micro-services.They are looking for a good People Manager, someone who can understand the technologies so good communication and collaboration are key.
