Behaviour Mentor

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting a dedicated Behaviour Mentor Teaching Assistant to join a supportive Primary School in Stockport from September 2026.

The successful candidate will work predominantly with KS1 pupils on a 1:1 basis, while also providing behaviour support across the school where required. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning through consistency, encouragement and positive relationships.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience supporting pupils with SEMH, behavioural or SEND needs
\n
• Be confident working both 1:1 and across a range of year groups
\n
• Use effective behaviour management strategies to promote engagement
\n
• Hold a Team Teach qualification (desirable)
\n
• Be enthusiastic, dependable and able to build excellent relationships with pupils and staff
\n

This is a full-time role starting in September 2026.
