Painter (Lancaster)

Your new companyHays Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Painter & Decorator to join a busy social housing maintenance contract covering properties throughout Lancaster.This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled painter looking for long-term, consistent work carrying out planned and responsive decorating works within tenanted and voided social housing properties.Your new roleAs part of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for:

• Internal and external painting and decorating works
\n
• Preparing surfaces including filling, sanding and making good
\n
• Emulsion and gloss painting
\n
• Decorating void and occupied properties
\n
• Carrying out minor repairs prior to painting
\n
• Ensuring work is completed to a high standard
\n
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
\n
• Providing excellent customer service when working in tenants' homes
\n

What you'll need to succeed

\n
• Previous experience as a Painter & Decorator
\n
• Experience working within social housing, domestic maintenance or property repairs
\n
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
\n
• Good knowledge of health and safety procedures
\n
• Full UK Driving Licence preferred
\n
• Own tools required
\n
