Salary - £25,945 (including RLW uplift) - actual based on hours £2,805

4 Hours per week - Mondays & Thursdays 15:45 - 17:45

**Salary will be pro-rata based on hours

Role Snapshot

\n

To assist a level 2 swim teacher to deliver a structured swimming lesson as part of our learn to swim programme. Predominately this will involve stage 3 classes in the main pool but you may be required to assist in another stage should a particular individual require extra support. Ensure that children are safe but also support their learning and encourage them to carry out criteria as per the lesson plan created by the teacher.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop an effective rapport with the Swim Teachers and follow their instructions as appropriate for the specific skills being taught.
  • \n
  • Ensure lessons are fun and encourage future progression from swimming lessons to the local club as appropriate.
  • \n
  • Be responsible for the health, safety and welfare of those attending the swimming lessons by following operational, health and safety procedures and training as directed.
  • \n
  • Set up and clear away of equipment prior to and after lessons.
  • \n
  • Attend regular training to maintain skills and expertise and attain and maintain validation of competence. Generic skills, knowledge and experience.
