Operations Manager
\nTeam Leadership & Supervision
\n· Lead, supervise and mentor the daily operations of coil winding operators, inspectors, technicians and support staff to achieve department objectives and quality standards along with adherence to inspection procedures.
\n· Provide regular performance evaluations, feedback, support, training, and motivation to team members to improve performance and productivity.
\n· Scheduling and assigning work and tasks to team members based on expertise and prioritise production orders to meet deadlines.
\n· Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
\n· Provide regular updates to upper management on team performance, challenges, and progress toward goals.
\nOperational Efficiency
\n· Oversee workflow processes and ensure the team meets quality, accuracy, and timeliness standards.
\n· Monitor and analyse daily operational processes, identify root causes of problems and develop strategies to prevent reoccurrence and recommend improvements or changes to increase efficiency and ensuring quick resolution and minimal impact on productivity.
\n· Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions or process improvements.
\n· Develop work schedules, delegate tasks, and ensure that goals are met
\n· Implement lean manufacturing techniques and best practices to streamline operations (coil shop)
\n· Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inspections and quality control.
\nTraining & Development
\n· Train new employees and provide ongoing training for existing staff
\n· Ensure all team members are kept up-to-date with relevant processes, technologies, and safety standards.
\n· Encourage career development and promote a learning culture within the team
\nCollaboration and Communication
\n· Liaise with production, engineering, maintenance and management teams to ensure alignment between quality standards, smooth operations and production goals
\n· Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams for quality-related matters, including addressing complaints or concerns
\n· Communicate effectively with upper management regarding strategic planning, process improvements, production issues, concerns and resource requirements.
\nDesired Skills
\nEssential
\n· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and work collaboratively in a team environment.
\n· Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
\n· Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control methods, and inspection tools/equipment.
\n· Electronics Background
