Senior Quantity Surveyor

I'm working with a leading specialist civil engineering who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a major data centre development.This is an excellent opportunity to play a key commercial role on a significant enabling works package, joining a well-established contractor with a strong pipeline of complex infrastructure and construction projects across the UK.The RoleAs Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll take commercial responsibility for a substantial package of works, working closely with the project team to ensure commercial success from procurement through to final account.Key responsibilities include:Managing the commercial aspects of a major enabling works packageAdministering NEC contracts and managing contractual obligationsProcurement and management of subcontractorsPreparing and agreeing valuations, variations and final accountsCost reporting, forecasting and CVRsManaging change control and compensation eventsBuilding strong relationships with both internal and client teamsSupporting and mentoring junior commercial staff where requiredAbout YouWe're looking for someone who has:Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or major construction projectsStrong knowledge of NEC contractsExperience managing complex subcontract packagesExcellent commercial and contractual awarenessThe ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced project environmentExperience on infrastructure, enabling works, earthworks, groundworks or large-scale construction projects would be advantageousWhat's On OfferCompetetive day rateLiong term contracts with potential for more work beyond this oneOpportunity to work on one of the UK's fastest-growing construction sectorsSupportive commercial leadership and collaborative team environmentIf you're interested in hearing more, or would like a confidential discussion about the opportunity, get in touch:??Aldwych Consulting values diversity and promotes equality.
