Senior Cost Manager / Senior Associate – Utilities
\nAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Cost Manager, Senior Quantity Surveyor or Senior Associate to join a growing commercial consultancy delivering major utilities and energy infrastructure programmes across the UK.
\nWorking within a specialist cost management team, you will support high-profile regulated and non-regulated projects across power, water, wastewater, telecoms, gas, district energy, renewables and emerging energy infrastructure. This client-facing role offers the opportunity to shape commercial strategy, lead project delivery and build strong relationships across complex programmes.

\nKey Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Lead commercial delivery across utilities and energy infrastructure projects. \n
- Provide pre- and post-contract quantity surveying services. \n
- Develop cost plans, forecasts, commercial reports and risk registers. \n
- Manage procurement, tender evaluation, contract administration and change control. \n
- Advise on cost modelling, benchmarking, value engineering and commercial strategy. \n
- Build strong relationships with clients, contractors and project teams. \n
- Promote commercial governance, compliance and best practice. \n
- Support business development, bids and continuous improvement initiatives. \n
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to successful project delivery. \n
Qualifications & Experience
\n- \n
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline. \n
- Chartered or working towards MRICS, MCIOB, MCInstCES or equivalent. \n
- Significant experience delivering commercial services on major utilities, infrastructure or engineering projects. \n
- Strong knowledge of cost planning, procurement, contract administration and commercial management. \n
- Experience with standard forms of contract including NEC3/NEC4, JCT and FIDIC. \n
- Utilities experience across electricity, water, wastewater, gas, telecoms or renewables is highly desirable. \n
- Knowledge of UK transmission and distribution networks (DNOs, IDNOs, ICPs) would be advantageous. \n
- Strong stakeholder management, commercial reporting and risk management skills. \n
