Looking for a HSEQ role where you're genuinely trusted to lead?\nOur client is a growing utilities infrastructure business delivering critical projects across the UK. As the business continues to expand, they are looking to appoint an experienced HSEQ Manager to take ownership of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality management across the organisation.
\nThis is not a role focused purely on compliance administration.
\nInstead, you'll become the recognised HSEQ lead within the business, trusted to investigate incidents, manage major client relationships, oversee accreditations, drive continual improvement and ensure the organisation remains compliant across an increasingly demanding regulatory landscape.
\nWorking closely with senior leadership, you'll have the autonomy, support and authority to make a genuine impact.
\n The Opportunity\nThis is a highly varied and fast-paced role operating within the utilities sector.
\nNo two days are the same.
\nOne day you may be leading a complex incident investigation and presenting your findings to a major utility client. The next, you could be managing insurance claims, producing project-specific RAMS, preparing for an external audit or supporting operational teams with critical compliance requirements.
\nThe role requires somebody who can prioritise effectively, remain calm under pressure and confidently engage with stakeholders at all levels.
\n Key ResponsibilitiesIncident Investigation & Client Reporting\n- \n
- Lead accident and incident investigations across the business \n
- Produce detailed investigation reports using recognised methodologies \n
- Present findings and updates to utility clients and senior stakeholders \n
- Manage corrective and preventative actions \n
- Provide regular incident updates and performance reporting \n
- \n
- Maintain and continually improve the HSEQ management system \n
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and industry standards \n
- Maintain Health & Safety and Environmental Legal Registers \n
- Develop and deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings and inductions \n
- Identify training needs across the workforce \n
- \n
- Produce and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) \n
- Support operational teams with project-specific risk management \n
- Ensure compliance with LOLER, PUWER and wider plant regulations \n
- Manage COSHH documentation and compliance processes \n

You will lead audits, manage non-conformances, maintain compliance records and drive continual improvement initiatives.
Insurance & Claims\n- \n
- Manage utility damage and third-party insurance claims \n
- Liaise with insurers, solicitors and loss adjusters \n
- Investigate incidents and gather supporting evidence \n
- Manage claims through to resolution \n
- \n
- Produce HSEQ performance metrics including LTIFR and AFR \n
- Manage environmental reporting, waste reporting and carbon reporting \n
- Analyse operational trends and identify improvement opportunities \n
- Support commercial teams with PQQ submissions and client compliance requests \n
Previous HSEQ, SHEQ or Health & Safety Management experience
\nUtilities, energy infrastructure, gas, water or network construction experience
\nIncident investigation and root cause analysis
\nISO management systems experience
\nStrong understanding of LOLER and PUWER regulations
\nExperience producing RAMS and risk assessments
\nExternal audit and accreditation management
\nInsurance claims management experience
\nStrong stakeholder management and communication skills
\nExcellent report writing and analytical capability
