\nA growing and forward-thinking planning and development consultancy is looking to strengthen its team with the appointment of a Senior Town Planner in Altrincham. The consultancy has a strong focus on its people and provides commercially minded planning advice and creative solutions across a varied portfolio of projects throughout the UK.
\nKey Responsibilities:

- Managing a varied portfolio of planning projects from initial instruction through to completion. \n
- Undertaking planning research and preparing appraisals, statements, reports and planning applications. \n
- Developing planning strategies and providing commercially focused advice to clients. \n
- Managing planning applications proactively, including liaising with Local Planning Authorities and addressing issues as they arise. \n
- Leading on householder, minor and other planning applications, whilst supporting larger-scale development projects. \n
- Coordinating with clients, consultants, technical teams and other stakeholders throughout the planning process. \n
- Managing project deadlines and ensuring work is delivered accurately, efficiently and to a high standard. \n
- Supporting business development, developing professional networks and mentoring more junior members of the team. \n
- \n
- A relevant degree, with a Master's qualification in Town Planning, Geography, Environmental Planning or a related subject desirable. \n
- Strong previous experience within town planning, ideally gained within a planning consultancy. \n
- Good knowledge of UK planning legislation, policy and the wider planning system. \n
- Proven experience managing planning applications and projects independently. \n
- Strong research, report writing and communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and practical planning advice. \n
- Confidence dealing directly with clients, planning officers, consultants and other stakeholders. \n
- Excellent organisational and project management skills, with a commercially aware and proactive approach. \n
- RTPI Chartered status or progression towards MRTPI would be advantageous, alongside a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. \n
