Vehicle Body Prepper

Location: Northampton (NN7)
Salary: £20.43 per hour (£42,500 per annum)
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 6:00am 4:30pm

We're recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Body Prepper to join a leading manufacturing business working on high-quality automotive projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail who takes pride in producing exceptional finishes. You'll be preparing specialist vehicle components and body panels to the highest standards, working as part of a skilled production team in a modern workshop.

Key Responsibilities\n

\n
• Prepare vehicle body panels and components ready for paint.
\n
• Carry out filler work to achieve a high-quality finish.
\n
• Sand, shape and prepare carbon fibre components.
\n
• Prime and prepare surfaces in line with quality standards.
\n
• Inspect panels for imperfections and rectify defects before painting.
\n
• Work closely with the paint team to ensure work is completed to the highest standard.
\n
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area.
\n

What We're Looking For\n

\n
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Body Prepper, Paint Prepper or Bodyshop Prep Technician.
\n
• Experience carrying out vehicle body preparation and filler work.
\n
• Experience working with carbon fibre is highly desirable.
\n
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
\n
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
\n
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
\n
