Compliance Investigator (x2)Oxford - Hybrid (3 days onsite minimum)12-month contract | £24.89 per hour PAYE / £33.29 per hour UmbrellaAbout the roleGuidant Global is recruiting on behalf of Airbus Helicopters UK for two Compliance Investigators to join the Compliance team at their Oxford site - home to Britain's civil helicopter hub and the world's largest helicopter manufacturer.This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in maintaining regulatory and operational compliance within a Helicopter Maintenance Repair Organisation (MRO). You'll investigate compliance-related issues, get to the root of what's really going on, and help drive the corrective and preventive actions that keep operations safe, standard-compliant, and continuously improving.What you'll be doingCompliance investigations & root cause analysisConduct thorough investigations into compliance-related incidents, discrepancies, and safety concerns, including MEDA investigations where requiredApply Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies - such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, and Fault Tree Analysis - to get to the underlying issueIdentify Human Factors and Human Performance issuesSpot trends and systemic issues, ensuring corrective actions are sustainableRegulatory & quality assuranceEnsure adherence to UK CAA/EASA Part 145, UK CAA/EASA Part CAMO, UK CAA/EASA Part 21G, MAA MRP145/MIL CAMO, and company-specific MRO standardsWork closely with Quality Assurance teams to develop and maintain effective audit and inspection processesSupport regulatory audits and coordinate responses to findings, ensuring non-conformances are resolved promptlyProcess improvement & risk mitigationCollaborate with cross-functional teams to improve maintenance procedures and operational efficiencyRecommend and implement risk mitigation strategies based on investigation findingsPromote best practice in safety, human factors, and compliance monitoringStakeholder engagement & reportingProvide detailed investigation reports and recommendations to senior management and regulatory bodiesEngage with maintenance, engineering, production, and safety teams to build compliance awarenessMaintain investigation records and track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)What we're looking forEssentialProven experience in compliance investigations within an aviation maintenance organisation or aerospace environmentStrong expertise in Root Cause Analysis and problem-solving methodologiesIn-depth knowledge of EASA Part 145, UK CAA regulations, and industry safety standardsKnowledge of Human Factors principles, including Human Performance and limitationsAbility to analyse technical documentation, maintenance records, and regulatory requirementsExperience conducting audits and inspections within a maintenance organisationExcellent report writing, analytical, and presentation skillsProficiency with compliance monitoring tools, quality management systems (QMS), and data analysis softwareFormal training in RCA and investigative techniquesEligible for DBS Security ClearanceDesirableExperience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologiesExperience in MEDA investigationsKnowledge of UK CAA/EASA Part CAMO, Part 21G, MAA regulations, MRP145, and MIL CAMOKnowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 aviation standardsCertification in Aviation Safety Management Systems (SMS)Certification as an Aviation Auditor or Lead AuditorLean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certificationStrong interpersonal skills, comfortable engaging stakeholders from technicians to senior leadershipThe detailsHours: Monday-Friday, 08:30-17:00 (37.5 hours per week)Contract: 12 months, with strong potential for extensionLocation: Oxford, hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days onsite per weekIR35: InsideSecurity: DBS clearance requiredReady to apply?If you're an experienced compliance professional with an aviation or aerospace background, we'd love to hear from you.Guidant, Carbon60, Lorien & SRG - The Impellam Group Portfolio are acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.TPBN1_UKTJ
