Technical TrainerLocation : Peterborough (with UK-wide travel)Salary: £40,000 per annum, OTE £48,000 per annum + Benefits!Contract: Full time, PermanentWe are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Trainer to join a growing team.This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong technical background in specialist vehicles or machinery who enjoys sharing knowledge and developing others.This role is primarily based in Peterborough, delivering internal training, with regular travel across the UK to support customer training requirements.The RoleAs a Technical Trainer, you will be responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously improving training programmes for both employees and customers.You will play a key role in ensuring individuals are fully equipped with the knowledge and skills required to operate, maintain, and repair specialist equipment.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and deliver structured training programmes aligned with business needs and individual development plansCollaborate with the Management Team to identify training objectivesCreate high-quality training materials, including: PowerPoint presentations, Written manuals and handouts and eLearning contentDeliver training on the operation, programming, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipmentAct as a subject matter expert in digital systems and telematics, including customer support and route recordingProvide technical advice and support to internal teams and external customersSchedule and coordinate training sessions in line with company and group guidelinesMaintain accurate training records and ensure certification is issued promptlyContinuously update training content to reflect product developments and innovationsSupport warranty procedures from a technical perspectiveCoordinate external training programmes (e.g. CPC and statutory training)Ensure compliance with City & Guilds quality assurance standardsAbout YouTechnical Experience:Background in a specialist vehicle, agricultural, or similar technical fieldStrong knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systemsHands-on experience with diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of machineryExperience delivering training across operator to technical levelsSkilled in producing technical documentation and training materialsProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsPersonal Qualities:Strong communicator and relationship builderPositive, proactive, and solution-focused approachOrganised with excellent attention to detailAdaptable and comfortable working in a dynamic environmentCollaborative team playerQualifications:Formal training in vehicle or agricultural equipment (or similar)Training in electrical and hydraulic disciplinesTeaching or training qualifications (desirable but not essential)What's on OfferCompetitive salary aligned with market rates40-hour working week (Monday to Friday), with flexibility required for travel24 days holiday + bank holidays (rising with service)Company sick pay schemeHealthcare cashback planPension scheme (4% employer / 4% employee contribution)Life assurance coverLong-term career development and progression opportunitiesIf you feel you have the necessary skills and experience to be successful in this role click on APPLY today!TPBN1_UKTJ
