About the Role

We are currently recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a secondary school in Berkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and committed to helping students achieve their full potential.

Working closely with teachers and support staff, you will play a key role in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for students aged 11-16.

Key Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
\n
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students.
\n
• Assist students with their academic, social, and emotional development.
\n
• Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
\n
• Support students with additional learning needs where required.
\n
• Prepare classroom resources and assist with lesson activities.
\n
• Promote positive behaviour in line with school policies.
\n

Requirements

\n
• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
\n
• A patient, caring, and proactive approach.
\n
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
\n
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
\n
• Relevant qualifications or experience in education are advantageous but not essential.
\n
