Wash plant Operative (Night shift)

Are you an experienced Machine Operative with a good understanding of static plants and isolation procedures?

Do you have a great eye for detail and fault finding?

If you answered yes then Holcim are looking for someone just like you to join them as a Wash plant operative trialling a new project. The successful candidate will be someone who has a manufacturing background, is flexible and happy to work independently.

Role - Wash plant operative

Pay -

Day Shift ( shift finishing before 19:00) = £13.45 p/h

Afternoon Shift (shift finishing between 19:00 - 23:00) = £17.89 p/h

Night Shift (shift finishing between 00:00 - 06:00) = £20.17 p/h

Location- Holcim, Bardon Hill, Coalville LE67 1TD

Shift pattern- For the first 1-2 months you will be training on the day shift on £13.45 per hour, then you will move to afternoons once trained then nights.

Duration- 6-12 months initially with the view to extend or offer a permanent position

Start date - ASAP (within 1-2 weeks)

Responsibilities:

• Managing and maintaining the wash plant
\n
• Basic fault finding
\n
• Monitor product quality
\n
• Check all production belts are working correctly
\n
• Basic housekeeping, cleaning and maintaining machinery and working area
\n
• Communicating with internal and external contacts in a clear and efficient manner
\n

Experience needed:

\n
• Prior experience in a manufacturing/production environment
\n
• Previous experience as a machine operator
\n
• Capacity to operate with minimal supervision
\n
• Knowledge of isolation procedures
\n
• Previous experience in a mineral washing plant (desirable)
\n
• Strong IT literacy skills
\n
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
\n
• Excellent interpersonal skills
\n
• Great attention to detail
\n
• Open minded towards change, new processes and improvement initiatives
\n
