We are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to provide holiday cover on a live occupied residential refurbishment project in Stevenage between 10th August and 28th August 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional, customer-focused Site Manager with experience to oversee works on a busy site, where maintaining excellent relationships with residents and the public is essential.The Role As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring all works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining a positive experience for residents and the client.Key Responsibilities\n

• Managing the day-to-day running of the site during the holiday cover period
\n
• Supervising subcontractors and coordinating site activities
\n
• Monitoring health and safety compliance across the project
\n
• Managing works including: \n
  \n
  • Scaffold adaptations
  \n
  • Brickwork and blockwork
  \n
  • Sheathing board installation
  \n
  • EPDM application
  \n
  • Tyvek membrane installation
  \n
  • Rendering works
  \n
\n
• Carrying out quality inspections and ensuring works meet specification
\n
• Managing site records and reporting progress to the project team
\n
• Liaising professionally with residents, the client, and members of the public
\n
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment throughout the project
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Valid SMSTS
\n
• Valid CSCS Card
\n
• First Aid at Work Certificate
\n
• Previous experience managing refurbishment projects
\n
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
\n
• Polite, patient, punctual, and professional approach
\n
• Experience using the Fieldview QA system would be advantageous
\n
