2nd Line Support Analyst

Job Title: 2nd Line support AnalystLocation: WakefieldDuration: 3 months Overview

The team provides IT support across three sites and is looking to engage two contractors on an initial 3-month contract.

Candidates with experience in a Processing Centre, distribution, warehouse, or logistics environment would be highly desirable. Understanding the risks working in a warehouse environment.

The roles will primarily focus on BAU (Business as Usual) support activities, although there may be opportunities to support project work.

Technical Skills & Experience

Second-Line IT Support Experience

Candidates must be capable of supporting the following technologies and environments:

End-User Devices

\n
• Windows 11 desktop and laptop devices (64-bit)
\n
• HP T540 and HP T550 thin clients running Windows 10
\n
• Xerox printers
\n
• SATO label printers
\n
• Honeywell and Zebra Android devices
\n
• Microsoft Teams phones and video conferencing equipment
\n
• IT asset management processes
\n

Networking

\n
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals
\n
• Ability to patch devices into network switches
\n
• Experience troubleshooting wired and wireless network connectivity issues
\n
• Understanding of VLAN concepts and functionality
\n

Applications & Systems

\n
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow (ticket management system)
\n
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose NiceLabel printing issues
\n
• Understanding of SOTI MobiControl
\n

Shift Patterns

The successful contractors will initially complete a two-week induction period (08:00 - 16:00), which will include:

• Site tours
\n
• System access setup
\n
• Hardware allocation
\n
• Training and onboarding activities
\n

Contractor 1

Following induction, the contractor will join the weekly shift rotation:

1. PM Shift: 14:00 - 22:00
\n
2. Mid Shift: 10:00 - 18:00
\n
3. Early Shift: 07:00 - 15:00
\n

Each shift pattern will be worked for one week at a time before rotating.

Contractor 2

Following induction, the contractor will move to a permanent night shift.

Potential hours to be costed:

• 22:00 - 07:00, or
\n
• 00:00 - 07:00
\n
