\nWe're currently recruiting for an experienced Home Ownership Team Leader to join a leading housing organisation based in Southgate, London.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a housing professional with strong leadership experience and a solid understanding of home ownership, service charges, leasehold management and customer service delivery.
\nAbout the Role
\nReporting to the Home Ownership Manager, you will lead a team of Home Ownership and Service Charge Specialists, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality service to leaseholders and shared owners.
\nYou will provide day-to-day operational leadership, oversee performance, manage complex home ownership matters and support the delivery of statutory and non-statutory processes.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Lead, coach and develop a team of Home Ownership/Service Charge Specialists \n
- Monitor performance and ensure service standards and KPIs are achieved \n
- Manage escalated leasehold and home ownership enquiries \n
- Support the resolution of complaints and service failures \n
- Provide specialist advice on leasehold, service charge and home ownership matters \n
- Interpret leases and legal documentation \n
- Support preparation of documentation for First Tier Tribunal and other legal proceedings \n
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures \n
- Assist with reporting, forecasting and performance management information \n
- Support the Home Ownership Manager and deputise when required \n
Requirements
\n- \n
- Previous experience within a Home Ownership, Leasehold or Service Charge environment \n
- Experience managing or supervising a team \n
- Strong knowledge of leasehold management and home ownership legislation \n
- Working knowledge of Section 20 consultation requirements under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985, including major works and qualifying long-term agreements \n
- Experience overseeing or supporting Section 20 consultation processes \n
- Experience handling complaints and complex customer issues \n
- Ability to interpret leases, legal documents and statutory requirements \n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills \n
- Strong Excel and MS Office skills \n
- Customer-focused with a proactive problem-solving approach \n
