\nLocation: Broxbourne
\n Salary: £28,899 (37.5 hours)
\n Monday to Friday (suggested: 9am - 5:30pm)
The Scheme Manager is responsible for both the day-to-day management of the scheme and the maintenance and repair of the building, communal areas and gardens. The postholder will support residents aged 55+ to live independently, while ensuring the scheme is well maintained, safe and aesthetically appealing. A key part of the role includes regular maintenance of the communal gardens.
\nWhat you will be doing

- Supporting residents' wellbeing through regular contact and day-to-day oversight, including daily welfare checks. \n
- Responding to emergency calls and coordinating support when needed \n
- Encouraging social activities and building a strong inclusive community spirit \n
- Liaising with families, GPs and external agencies to support residents \n
- Overseeing communal areas and working with contractors to maintain high standards \n
- Carrying out health & safety checks and ensuring compliance \n

- Maintain gardens, lawns and planted areas \n
- Carry out planting, including seasonal bedding \n
- Weeding, pruning, hedge cutting and lawn care \n
- Maintain and clear paths and communal outdoor areas \n
- Use weed control safely \n
- Maintain tools and equipment \n
- Improve outdoor spaces \n
- Keep outdoor areas safe and presentable \n

- Carry out minor repairs and maintenance \n
- Change lightbulbs, fuses and batteries \n
- Report repairs and to liaise with the Repairs Team and contractors. \n

- Experience of working with older customers \n
- Calm and confident in emergencies \n
- Compassionate, approachable and able to build strong relationships \n
- Organised and able to work independently \n
