Job Description
Are you an experienced Building Services Engineer looking for stability, a predictable work-life balance, and no endless commuting across London?
\nWe are looking for a sharp, multi-skilled engineer to take ownership of a prestigious static site in Central London. Operating standard day shifts (Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm), you’ll be the go-to technical mind on-site, ensuring all mechanical, electrical, and general building systems run smoothly.
\nBecause this is a single static site, you’ll work closely with the tenant and building management teams. We need someone who is as skilled with client communication as they are with a multimeter.
\nWhat You’ll Be Doing
\n- \n
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across mechanical, electrical, and fabric systems. \n
- Leading on electrical fault finding, isolation, small works, and routine testing safely and efficiently. \n
- Acting as the face of the engineering team—building strong, professional relationships with building managers, tenant representatives, and external contractors. \n
- Escorting, overseeing, and approving work done by specialist sub-contractors on-site. \n
- Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations, statutory standards, and site logbooks. \n
What We’re Looking For
\n- \n
- Proven track record in commercial building services maintenance (M&E). \n
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent) and 18th Edition BS7671 are highly desirable. \n
- Comfortable turning your hand to basic plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance alongside core electrical tasks. \n
- Excellent communication skills, a professional attitude, and the confidence to discuss technical issues directly with stakeholders. \n
- Ideally based within a reasonable commute to Central London. \n
Why Apply?
\n- \n
- No Daily London Hustle: One fixed location—no van, no traffic jams between jobs. \n
- Great Hours: Standard 40-hour week, Monday to Friday (08:00–17:00). \n
- Competitive Package & overtime potential. \n
