So whether your experience sits in one sector or spans several, its worth a conversation.The type of role I recruit forOverall commercial management of one or more construction schemes, typically covering:Commercial support to site and project management teamsMonitoring and updating project costs - reviewing monthly financial forecasts against actual costsSubcontractor procurement and management from inception through to completionValuation, certification and approval of subcontractor paymentsGuidance to operational teams on cost estimation and contract requirementsReporting directly to clients and senior managementPresenting valuation reports and cost estimatesTendering and negotiating contractsEstimating target costs and budget pricesPreparing lump sum bids and compiling enquiry documents for competitive bidding on a favourable bid, preparing tender and contract documents including bills of quantitiesContributing to the training and development of Apprentice, Trainee and Assistant Quantity SurveyorsWhat clients typically look forHND in Quantity Surveying or equivalent - essentialDegree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent - desirableMinimum 5 years working as a Quantity Surveyor with a good working knowledge of construction processes - essentialExperience across a range of contract forms (JCT, NEC or sector-specific equivalent)Clear understanding of contractual terms and conditions, both main contract and subcontractProficient in the use of MS OfficeValid UK driving licenceValid CSCS cardPackages vary between clients, but typically include a competitive salary, car or car allowance, annual bonus, generous holiday allowance, contributory pension scheme and life assurance.Not actively on the market?
