You will:Translate organisational goals into practical people solutionsWork closely with leaders to drive performance, engagement and capabilityUse data and insight to inform decisions and improvementsBuild confident, capable managers who deliver great outcomesYoull play a key role in delivering our People Strategy and helping the organisation continuously improve.What you will be doingStrategic partnering & influence: Build trusted relationships with senior leaders and managersCo-create people plans aligned to organisational prioritiesAct as a coach, mentor and critical friend providing challenge and supportUse workforce data and insight to guide decision-makingEmployee relations & policy expertise: Provide expert advice across the full employee lifecycleSupport complex cases including performance, absence, change, and employee relationsDevelop and evolve policies that are modern, inclusive and legally compliantTalent, capability & culture: Work with the Talent & OD Partner to support recruitment, succession and workforce planningIdentify capability gaps and shape development solutionsSupport initiatives that improve engagement, wellbeing and cultureChampion values-led leadership and high performanceChange & continuous improvement: Partner with services to support change, transformation, and organisational developmentContribute to people projects such as EDI&B, wellbeing, and digital HR improvementsHelp shape a progressive, forward-thinking People ServiceData, systems & modern HR practice: Use HR systems and data to drive evidence-based decisionsPromote digital tools and self-service approachesEnsure compliance, governance, and accurate people dataLeadership & collaboration: Line manage and support team members to perform at their bestBuild strong stakeholder relationships across the organisationFacilitate workshops and conversations that drive understanding and improvementWhat you will bring Were looking for a credible, proactive HR professional who can balance strategy with delivery.Experience & expertise: Strong generalist HR experience in a business partnering roleProven track record of influencing leaders and supporting organisational changeExperience managing complex employee relations issuesStrong knowledge of employment law and HR best practiceExperience using data and HR systems to support decisionsSkills that make the difference: Excellent relationship-building and influencing skillsAnalytical and able to turn insight into actionStrong coaching and facilitation capabilityOrganised, proactive, and able to manage competing prioritiesYour style: Collaborative, credible, and solutions-focusedConfident in challenging constructivelyValues-driven, with a strong commitment to EDI&BFocused on outcomes that make a real differenceOur values (and how we work) At Teign Housing, how we work matters:We are One TeamWe are FriendlyWe Listen & LearnContract: Permanent, full-time, 37 hours per week.Closing date: 25 th August 2026.Interview date: TBC.Applications will be considered as they are received, so early applications are encouraged.
