Transport AdministratorBarnsleyContact Halo Personnel for Salary InfoHours of work:Monday Thursday: 07:30 am 4:00 pm (45 minutes lunch)Friday: 07:30 am 3:00 pm (1 hour lunch)This is the perfect position for someone who has administrative skills and a desire to start their career in a transport/logistics environmentKey responsibilities of the Transport Administrator:Collating drivers hours both electronically using Tachomaster software and manuallyControlling drivers hours and ensuring compliance with Working Time Directives (WTD) regulationsManaging and monitoring PODs (Proof of Delivery) and liaising with the IT department on any scanner issuesCollecting signed paperwork from DriversTaking calls from drivers with regards to issues downloading and scanning their loads, helping to resolve issues, and escalating where neededFiling and checking in all vehicle defects to ensure all are accounted forInputting monthly fuel figures and MPG (Miles Per Gallon)Ordering and controlling all fuel cardsUpdating bespoke FORS (Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme) software with all PCNs (Penalty Charge Notices) and fuel usageHandling all PCNs and either recharging them to drivers or appealing them where parking has been paidDownloading and inputting weekly vehicle mileage from Tachomaster onto an Excel spreadsheetManaging and ordering all department's uniform requirementsTo fulfil the role of Transport Administrator role you must:Have knowledge of Word, Excel, and OutlookHave excellent attention to detail and strong organisation skillsBe self-disciplined and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environmentExcellent time management skillsA desire to progress in a transport environmentAdditional Information:30 days holiday per year including statutory days increasing by one day every year up to 33 daysContributory Pension after 3 monthsStaff discount on furnitureOn-site canteen area and kitchen facilitiesFree parkingCompany info:Our client is a privately owned manufacturer of fitted kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom furniture; the organisation has been in operation for over 50 years and has experienced growth year on year, they operate nationally and have around 50% share of the private housing market and currently supply one in every three kitchens to the social housing market.The Transport Administrator will be a key member of the Transport Team.
