BSNI is hiring on behalf of our top leading client that is in a site with in Ballymena . A Maintenance engineer is required due to continued growth. The business holds four main principles at the heart of everything they do: People, Quality, Value and Innovation.The RoleReporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of plant equipment through planned, predictive, and reactive maintenance activities.Overtime is available at 1.5 or double time on a SundayHourly rate is varied upon experience and grade.COMPANY BENEFITSFree CarparkingStandard Pension Scheme Eer contribution 3%, Eee 5%Enhanced Contribution Pension SchemeEnhanced Maternity and Paternity SchemesShare save SchemeShare Incentive PlanHoliday Purchase SchemeCycle to Work SchemeStaff SalesEmployee of the MonthLong Service AwardsSalary Finance offers discounted loans etcHapi App discount shopping appRefer A Friend SchemeChristmas VouchersMain DutiesTo carry out planned preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance, repairs, refurbishment, installation, improvements and modification or upgrade to plant and services in order to minimize downtime and maintain the equipment in the best possible condition.To strive towards continuous improvement of all machinery and equipment to effectively reduce engineering downtime, thereby maintaining plant availability, efficiency, productivity and product quality at all times.To carry out all engineering work to high Engineering, Quality, Safety and Hygienic standards.The role holder will be involved in dealing with employees at all levels of the site and liaising with different departments as needed with the key interfaces being the Production Operatives, other craft and Engineering Managers.Key ResponsibilitiesTo work across mechanical and electrical trades as qualified and authorised.Ensure all engineering work is carried out in an efficient and effective manner, in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice, Health and Safety Legislation and current Company Standards.To work across mechanical and electrical trades as qualified and authorised.Fault diagnosis and breakdown repairs of plant, machinery and site services electrical lead.Planned maintenance (PM), modifications, installations and upgrades to plant machinery and site services.To utilise the CMMS fully and assist in its development to achieve World Class asset performance.Upkeep and alteration of electrical or mechanical drawings as needed relevant to trade.To obtain Permits to Work and to sign out Permits to Work where ever requiredComply with audit requirements.To undertake statutory checks as directed by the management team.To undertake other duties as requested with due regard to relevant engineering, operational quality, safety and hygiene standards.QualificationsEngineering City and Guilds or ONC (Electrical or Mechanical ) orNVQ Level 3 in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical ) orApprenticeship followed by practical experience17th Edition Wiring Regulations. (Electrical)Experience2 3 years experience as a skilled engineering craftsperson or technician.Practical experience gained within engineering functionTPBN1_UKTJ
