Temporary Receptionist and Events Support, Tech Investment Firm (Part-Time)

We are partnering with a collaborative boutique investment firm to find a Receptionist & Events Support to join their team on a part-time basis, working four days per week.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a minimum of 2 years as a receptionist who thrives in a people-focused environment, remains calm under pressure, and is confident interacting with senior stakeholders, clients and guests.

The core working hours are Monday to Thursday, 4:00pm to 9:00pm. However, the successful candidate will also support the firm's breakfast and evening events, so flexibility and a proactive approach are essential.

This role is particularly well suited to someone pursuing interests outside of work, such as acting, teaching, yoga, freelance projects or running a small business, while looking for a professional and varied part-time position.

Key Responsibilities

• Acting as the welcoming face of the business, providing a professional and friendly reception service
\n
• Managing the reception area and ensuring an exceptional visitor experience
\n
• Coordinating meeting rooms and supporting the smooth running of daily office operations
\n
• Assisting with breakfast and evening events, including guest registration, hospitality and event coordination
\n
• Supporting colleagues and stakeholders with ad hoc administrative and office-related tasks as required
\n

What We're Looking For

• First Aid and Fire Marshal certification is essential
\n
• 2 - 5 years' experience in a reception or front-of-house role
\n
• A confident, outgoing and professional communication style
\n
• Experience supporting corporate events or hospitality functions is highly desirable
\n
• Investment or financial services experience would be advantageous
\n

4-month contract | Starting September | Part-time: Monday to Thursday | Core hours: 4:00pm - 9:00pm
