Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description
Manufacturing Engineer
\nThis is an opportunity to join a Scottish manufacturing business at a pivotal point in its evolution.

\nThis role offers a genuine balance of New Product Introduction, process improvement and day-to-day production support. You'll work closely with Operations, Quality and Engineering to ensure new products are successfully introduced into production while continuously improving efficiency, quality and build performance across the site.

\n- \n
- Support New Product Introduction and production change activities \n
- Drive continuous improvement projects across manufacturing operations \n
- Improve build hours, cycle times and production efficiency \n
- Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions \n
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, SOPs and standard work \n
- Optimise workstation layouts, tooling and material flow \n
- Provide manufacturing input into product and process design decisions \n
- Work with data and modern manufacturing technologies to support process improvements \n
About You
\nYou could come from a range of manufacturing environments, including automotive, aerospace, rail, heavy engineering, electronics or other high-volume assembly operations.
\nWe're looking for someone with:
\n- \n
- Manufacturing Engineering experience within a production environment \n
- Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) \n
- A strong background in mechanical and/or electrical manufacturing processes \n
- Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing experience \n
- The ability to analyse problems, identify root causes and implement lasting solutions \n
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills \n
- A degree in Engineering or equivalent industry experience is preferred. \n
Why Apply?
\n- \n
- Join a business investing heavily in its manufacturing capability \n
- Opportunity to help shape new production processes and working methods \n
- High visibility role within a close-knit engineering team \n
- Supportive leadership focused on coaching and development \n
- Clear opportunities for career progression as the operation continues to grow \n
For Manufacturing Engineers who enjoy solving problems, improving processes and seeing the impact of their work on the shop floor, this is an excellent opportunity to make a tangible difference.
