Integration Architect | 11 Month Contract | (Inside IR35) | Hybrid, Edinburgh| Starting ASAP

About the Role:
\n- \n
- Lead the design and assurance of system-to system integrations, ensuring consistent, reusable and secure connectivity across the technology estate. \n
- Define, document and maintain integration architecture standards, patterns and reference models, with a particular focus on API-led and event-driven integration. \n
- Design and assure integrations deployed within AWS and Boomi, ensuring effective use of cloud-native services and delivering robust API management, messaging, orchestration and security requirements for resilience. \n
- Define and govern API connectivity models, including internal and external, 3rd-party integrations whilst ensuring appropriate versioning, documentation and lifecycle management. \n
- Ensure integrations meet non-functional requirements, including security, performance, resilience, scalability and cost efficiency in line with public sector standards. \n
- Provide architectural assurance and challenge for integration designs presented through formal governance and review processes. \n
- Work collaboratively with Technical Architects, delivery teams, platform teams, security specialists and external suppliers to deliver agreed integration architectures. \n
- Support delivery teams during build and implementation phases by providing hands-on architectural guidance and resolving complex integration issues. \n

Essential Skills & Experience:
\n- \n
- Proven experience operating as an Integration Architect or equivalent specialist architecture role within a large and complex organisation. \n
- Extensive experience designing, implementing, governing and supporting enterprise integration solutions using Boomi, including API Management, Integration, Master Data Management and Event Streams capabilities. \n
- Strong knowledge of application architecture and enterprise application landscapes, including SaaS, COTS and bespoke applications. \n
- Demonstrable experience defining integration standards, reference architectures, design principles and technical roadmaps. \n
- Experience leading architectural governance activities and providing technical assurance through Architecture Review Boards or equivalent governance forums. \n
- Proven ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders, suppliers, delivery teams and executive audiences, translating complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes. \n
- Experience working within Agile and multidisciplinary delivery environments. \n
- Experience working in large public sector organisations with an understanding of government digital service standards and governance processes. \n
- Expert knowledge of AWS Cloud architecture, with practical experience of integration and API services including: \n
