We're seeking a Head of Grant Programme to join us, this opportunity can be based out of our Basingstoke, Wembley or Bristol offices.

The Role

\n

\n

This role will play a key part in driving development performance across the organisation, ensuring the delivery of annual targets, including Homes England Partnership, Greater London Authority (GLA) grant programmes, and Recycled Capital Grant Fund (RCGF) milestones.

\n

You will lead on performance monitoring and reporting, producing insightful trend analysis to identify areas of under-performance and emerging risks. Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, you will support the development and implementation of targeted improvement plans to drive successful outcomes.

The role will oversee Homes England and GLA grant-funded programmes throughout the development gateway process, ensuring compliance with governance requirements and the consistent application of robust processes. You will proactively identify risks and opportunities, working with colleagues to implement effective mitigation and remedial actions where required.

In addition, you will lead the preparation and coordination of funding bid strategies for Homes England, GLA, and other public sector funding opportunities, helping to maximise grant income and support the delivery of the organisation's development ambitions.

Knowledge and Skills:

    Solid understanding of Homes England and GLA Grant programmes, their construct and how to manage.

  • \n

    Experience of preparing Grant programme bids from start to finish.

  • \n
  • \n

    Strong commercial acumen, experience of complex financial and budget management and successfully managing the risks associated with managing a large development/investment programme.

  • \n

    Strong leadership style and experience, including recent and relevant experience of a leadership role.

  • \n
  • \n

    Strong communication skills, including an ability to offer and receive challenge in a constructive, straightforward, and open manner.

  • \n

    Appreciation of risk management, including in respect of impacts of decisions on the portfolio performance.

    Commitment to high ethical standards of integrity and honesty.
