Are you passionate about developing talent, building strong industry partnerships, and helping aspiring chefs achieve their potential?Bournemouth & Poole College is seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised Specialised Chefs Residential Manager to play a vital role in the continued success of one of our flagship apprenticeship programmes.This is a unique opportunity to work with some of the UK's most prestigious restaurants, hotels, and hospitality employers, supporting apprentices as they develop the skills, knowledge, and experience needed for successful careers in the culinary industry.As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing employer relationships, overseeing apprentice accommodation and placements, ensuring compliance and welfare standards are maintained, and supporting apprentices throughout their programme journey. With many employer partners based in London, the role offers the opportunity to work closely with leading hospitality businesses through regular visits and engagement activitiesAbout the RoleThe success of our Specialised Chef programme is built on exceptional partnerships with high-end hospitality employers and the provision of high-quality supported accommodation for apprentices. You will take ownership of these critical elements, ensuring apprentices have an outstanding experience both in and out of the workplace.You will act as the main point of contact for employers, apprentices, parents, accommodation providers, and internal college teams, creating and maintaining strong relationships that support apprentice achievement, wellbeing, and progression.This is a varied and rewarding role combining relationship management, apprentice support, compliance, administration, and event coordination, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working across multiple priorities and making a tangible difference to student success.Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with employers, curriculum teams, apprentices, parents, and other stakeholders.
  • \n
  • Manage apprentice work placements, accommodation arrangements, and associated health and safety requirements.
  • \n
  • Support apprentices throughout their programme, conducting regular reviews and monitoring progress towards apprenticeship gateway requirements.
  • \n
  • Ensure all accommodation arrangements meet required standards and support ongoing Ofsted compliance.
  • \n
  • Oversee programme administration, including enrolments, achievement tracking, training records, e-portfolios, and apprentice documentation.
  • \n
  • Manage and support assessor trainers, promoting high standards of performance and continuous improvement.
  • \n
  • Organise and deliver the annual Specialised Chef Graduation Event, celebrating apprentice achievements and employer partnerships.
  • \n
  • Coordinate marketing activities, recruitment events, pre-enrolment processes, and promotional materials to support programme growth.
  • \n
  • Monitor apprentice attendance, wellbeing, and engagement, working proactively to identify and resolve issues.
  • \n
  • Represent the College and the programme at internal and external events, networking opportunities, and employer engagement activities.
