Veritas Education are recruiting on behalf of a specialist primary setting in Billingham for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 from September.

This is a long-term opportunity within a well-resourced school supporting children with a range of additional needs, including Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties and PMLD.

The Role:

• Providing 1:1 and small group support
\n
• Supporting pupils with communication, sensory and learning needs
\n
• Encouraging engagement, independence and positive behaviours
\n
• Working closely with teachers, therapists and support staff
\n
• Creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
\n

What We're Looking For:

\n
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN
\n
• \n

  Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) would be advantageous but not essential

\n
• Patient, resilient and caring approach
\n
• Backgrounds in education, care, support work or youth work welcomed
\n
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
\n
