Finance Manager

Corecruitment International
Finaghy, NIR, GB Full Time

Job Description

We are looking for a Finance Manager / Management Accountant to join a growing team, supporting the day-to-day financial operations of a hotel in one of Belfast's most iconic locations. This is a unique opportunity to work across a well-established international hotel brand within a single vibrant destination.

\n

This is a property-based Finance Manager/Management Accountant role, responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the hotel and reporting into the Financial Controller. As the FC splits their time between Head Office and the property, this role is the primary on-site finance presence — ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial controls, and effective day-to-day support to the General Manager and hotel leadership team.

\n

Previous hotel accounting experience is essential, given the on-site nature of the role and the level of autonomy required between FC visits.

\n

What You'll Do

\n

Financial Reporting & Controls

\n
    \n
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including review and commentary
  • \n
  • Manage the general ledger and day-to-day journal postings
  • \n
  • Carry out daily revenue checks and reconcile income audit reports
  • \n
  • Support the General Manager with financial performance analysis and cost control
  • \n
  • Act as the day-to-day finance point of contact on-site, escalating to the FC as needed
  • \n
\n

Candidate Profile

\n
    \n
  • Essential: previous experience in hotel accounting, ideally within a branded/international hotel environment
  • \n
  • A proven track record in a senior accounts position within hospitality
  • \n
  • Confident, articulate, and communicative, with strong interpersonal skills
  • \n
  • Comfortable working with a degree of autonomy, given the FC's split location
  • \n
  • Strong process orientation with a positive approach to change
  • \n
  • Able to coach and develop team members
  • \n
  • Organised, systematic, and deadline-driven
  • \n
  • Analytical and detail-oriented
  • \n
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills; computer literate across multiple systems — experience with Sage Line 50, Alkimii, or Procure Wizard is an advantage
  • \n
