Commercial Plumber / Pipefitter | Building Services | South Coast & London | £43,000£48,000 + Van & Overtime opportunity
\nAn established Mechanical Building Services contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Plumber / Pipefitter.
\nThe company delivers a varied portfolio of commercial plumbing, heating and mechanical installation projects across the South Coast, M3 corridor and London, working within commercial offices, educational facilities, healthcare environments and other occupied buildings.
\nThis is a permanent, mobile position offering varied and technically interesting work, predominantly involving commercial installations, upgrades and refurbishment projects rather than routine maintenance.
\nThe business has a strong pipeline of work, an experienced and supportive management team and offers excellent long-term stability and opportunities for professional development.
\nThe Role
\nThe Commercial Plumber / Pipefitter will be responsible for completing commercial plumbing and mechanical pipework installations across a range of projects and properties.
\nYou will work independently and alongside project managers, supervisors and other trades, ensuring installations are completed safely, professionally and to the required technical standards.
\nTypical responsibilities will include:

- Carrying out commercial plumbing and pipework installations \n
- Installing hot and cold-water services, heating systems and associated mechanical services \n
- Completing pipework alterations, upgrades and refurbishment works \n
- Working within commercial plant rooms and occupied buildings \n
- Reading and working from mechanical drawings and specifications \n
- Identifying materials and equipment required to complete installations \n
- Testing completed systems and resolving installation issues \n
- Completing snagging and remedial works where required \n
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and site safety \n
- Travelling to projects across the South Coast, M3 corridor and London \n
The Ideal Candidate
\nThe successful candidate will have experience working as a Commercial Plumber, Pipefitter or Mechanical Engineer within commercial buildings.
\nThe majority of the companys work is installation-led. However, applications are also welcomed from engineers with a commercial maintenance background who have strong practical installation experience and would like to move into a predominantly project-based position.
\nYou should have:

- Strong commercial plumbing and pipework knowledge \n
- Experience of installing commercial heating and water services \n
- Experience working within plant rooms and commercial buildings \n
- The ability to read and work from mechanical drawings \n
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving abilities \n
- The ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively \n
- Relevant plumbing, pipefitting or mechanical qualifications \n
- A full UK driving licence \n
